Some lake effect snow in the forecast for the Eastern U.P. ........ #miweatherLight lake effect snow will start tonight east of Munising giving way to modest accumulations by Friday afternoon. Elsewhere, expect decreasing clouds especially after midnight and chilly temperatures. A few spots across the western U.P. may experience wind chills below -20 F. Michigan Snowmobile Trail Report

Cold weather makes its comeback today (Thursday) and brings along some lake effect snow in the Upper Peninsula.... #miweatherClouds will steadily increase across the area today allowing for some patchy freezing drizzle and snow showers early in the day. Temperatures will start out in the upper 20s to low 30s; however, a cold front will move through by mid to late morning, allowing temperatures to drop through the afternoon hours. Light to moderate lake effect snow will develop this evening and continue into Thursday morning for north to northwest wind snow belts, heaviest over the eastern U.P., where there is more open water on Lake Superior. ...
