Back to winter forecast for Friday and Saturday... - #miweather7:10pm ET 2/23: Periods of snow, falling moderate to heavy at times, are expected across Upper Michigan Friday through Saturday. Initially, snow will shift northward across Upper Michigan Friday morning into early afternoon. Light to moderate snow will then continue Friday afternoon before another period of moderate to possibly heavy snow Friday evening into Saturday morning. Snow will then gradually taper off to light lake effect snow through Saturday evening.
A couple of important notes:
1) The accumulations shown here are over an extended period. We are expecting multiple rounds of, not continuous, moderate to sometimes heavy snowfall.
2) Dry NE winds may limit snowfall initially on Friday. Additionally, if this storm system tracks even slightly farther south than forecast, it is possible that these dry NE winds will reduce snowfall totals even more, especially across the northwest U.P. ... See MoreSee Less
