WEATHER UPDATE via Meteorologist Brad Sugden >> SNOW TIME!!!!
Just as the U.P. is digging out, they are about to be buried again. This time, Northern Lower snowbelts will join in the fun! Yup, lake effect will be CRANKING.
10-18" of snow is possible from Midnight to Midnight the whole entire 24hrs of New Year's Eve.
This will be FLUFFY. It will be WINDY. This time winds could gust 35mph for most of the state and up to 40mph right on the shoreline of Lake Superior.
Wind chill values could be as cold as -10 in the Upper Peninsula during the day and -20 into New Year's Eve night as we ring in 2026. The Lower Peninsula is looking at wind chills a few degrees either side of zero.
As with all lake effect, one mile could mean the difference between 6" and 18" of snow. Sorry, that's just how it is, y'all. #miweatherSNOW TIME!!!!
