LAKE GOGEBIC AREA UPDATE via Gogebic Area Grooming >> Bergland Area checking in for Saturday evening groom Sunday morning 1/25/25.. we received somewhere around 6" of new snow. Current temp is 8°. Trails covered lastnight, 13n, 13s, 102, 1n and access trails.
Snow was a little easier to cut into and work with tonight which hopefully helps getting some of these monster moguls and 3' berms cut down. 1n to White Pine is a disaster!!
I think you all are dropping half sticks every 10' to make us work harder! 😆 We'll keep plugging along doing what we do. Traffic is high. Best ride is early morning, then come back and support the local businesses in the afternoon and evening. Thanks everyone. Gogebic Area Grooming ❄️❄️❄️ #lakegogebic #westernup #snowphotos ... BALDWIN AREA UPDATE via Trailriders Snowmobile Club >> 1/26 Update: Unfortunately, we don’t have a lot of grooming updates today. With yesterday’s warm up above freezing, we were unable to groom last night. Today the plan is to evaluate our system and determine if we can get at least some of our groomers rolling again today and tomorrow. Our equipment is ready to roll and our volunteer crew of operators are ready to go. For those out riding today, please share your feedback on conditions with pictures and locations if possible.
As posted last night, our open house was very successful! We appreciate everyone who was able to attend and to those that became members, thank you for contributing to our club. We hope to regularly see new members at our future events and meetings, as we are always looking for new faces and ideas. We especially appreciate all the work by our members and board throughout the day. There are so many dedicated volunteers working behind the scenes that made this event a great success! Also thanks to those who donated or provided food items and door prizes for our event. Paul H Jernberg, Chase Creek Smoke House, Fox Powersports Peacock, Hutson, Inc., Ebels General Store

HARBOR SPRINGS AREA UPDATE via Harbor Springs Snowmobile Club >> The trails were rode hard yesterday, there was roughly 150 sleds on Beach's Up North Tavern’s vintage ride and tons of other groups out enjoying the snow.
With that being said the trails really took a beating. We only had one volunteer available to groom so unfortunately the railroad grade from Pellston to Mackinaw & the entire west side of our trail system will be in rough shape today. Your best spots to be today will be from the Harbor Groomer barn east to Alanson & Pellston. Take a ride to Brutus Camp Deli for breakfast & get 10% off for riding your seld there or swing into Beachs in Pellston or the Jerk-N-Depot in Alanson for some lunch!

KEWEENAW PENINSULA UPDATE via Keweenaw Trail Reports >> How far do you drive to ride the Keweenaw?
Or how far do you backpack via snowmobile to ride the Keweenaw?
Tegan Noltner and Josh Held are no strangers to riding the Keweenaw, but this trip they brought Tegan’s brother, a first time rider to the area! We always love showing people around this beautiful place for the first time!
The group actually traveled to Mercer, Wisconsin by truck and trailer and then unloaded the sleds and took the trails the rest of the way to Houghton to stay last night!
Today they left Houghton and headed to High Rock Bay and The Rocket Range. Trail 136, the short spur trail to High Rock has not had a groomer down it yet this season due to low snow cover and a persistent water crossing. Good news is the water crossing has been reported as completely frozen after the extreme cold temps this past week, however the trail is pretty beat and in needs of grooming.
The group rode into Copper Harbor to fuel up at Copper Harbor Fuel Stop and enjoy a delicious meal at The Mariner North before continuing their ride through Lac La Belle to Gay! Note: trail 133 (from Lac La Belle to Gay) has only been groomed 2 times this year due to low snow cover and has been reported as very rough the last 3 days. Please plan your rides accordingly and continue to check the Groomer Tracker app for current grooming operations.
All other trails within the system have been reported as great. Of course with the high traffic, the early birds definitely get the worm or we should say ribbon trails. Trails obviously can show signs of heavy traffic by afternoon and evening before the groomer operators are able to get back out there and work their magic! Huge thank you to the Keweenaw Snowmobile Club for their non stop efforts to provide the best possible riding experience for all riders!
Thanks for sharing the beautiful photos Tegan! Enjoy the rest of your ride!

It's being hit every night. 102 wasn't horrible but still needed attention, it too is being groomed nightly. 8w to Wakefield was horrible and hit tonight. 13n to Rockland wasn't terrible and is also groomed nightly. SAULT STE. MARIE AREA UPDATE via Sault Ste. Marie Snowmobile Association >> 1/25/25
Good morning everyone!
I got a couple of reports from last night, the first from Brimley Bill-
“Tonight I groomed trail 480 from Raco to our Spile Dam Road turnaround, trail 8 on the Powerline and from Raco to Brimley. The photos show trail 480 on Waishkey River Truck Trail, trail 8 on the Powerline, and Trail 8 just west of Brimley.
I saw no sled traffic, so the trails will probably have all night to set up. There should be some happy riders in the morning.”
Also, Groomer Matt sent us these pics on his way to hit the Kinross east loop, 49 south of M80 and the 494 loop. He caught the other groomer coming in from his run on Kinross west to the Spile Dam turnaround on 480.
Looking awesome guys!
Hope you are able to get out and enjoy!

Groomed trail 43 east out of Curtis, 457 & 45 to trail 9 intersection. Still a little light on snow around town, although rideable and snow cover does increases quickly as you travel northwards.
Trails groomed up nicely.
Trail 2 was also groomed from trail 9 intersection South to H40 Hiawatha trail. Considerably more snow cover from the last storm and groom was awesome.

FREDERIC - GAYLORD AREA UPDATE via Sledheads of Frederic , Michigan Snowmobiling >> Its a comfy 20 degrees, a perfect temp to ride. I am still surprised at the lack of sleds around, granted snow is thinner here in Frederic than west of here but there are still not many around. Usually as long as it looks white the riders will show up. I had a group of 3 guys park out back yesterday and they were just here again this morning and they said they had a great ride yesterday going north and west and they are going to do it again today. I have had several people write and ask me why they are not grooming and its an easy answer. Not enough snow but Gaylord has been out each day here to Frederic and Grayling did do trail 7 to Frederic last nite.... #gaylord #snowphotos ... See MoreSee Less
Thanks for sharing this
Quite a few riders here in Gaylord. I live on a trailhead and work next to a different portion of trail, and they’ve been steady through all day. From what I can see of the trails where they cross the roads in town, seem to be a bit snirty upon exit and entry, but otherwise looks clear with a hard base.

KEWEENAW PENINSULA UPDATE via Keweenaw Trail Reports >> Brrrrrr! It’s been some REALLY 🥶 cold & ❄️ snowy days on the trails, but the temps are slowly starting to become a bit more tolerable!
Trails are in really in great shape heading into the weekend!
A familiar face to the Keweenaw, Don Wineland and crew have been riding the area this week. Today they stayed North of Houghton and did a nice loop that included a ride on the Valley Sno Drifters Dreamland Trails!
Don said, “We rode Mohawk to Houghton/Hancock on trail 3 & 17. We then took trail 3 to Lake Linden and all were very good! We rode the trail off 122 down to Dreamland Restaurant & Bar for a good meal. The Dreamland Trail was singe track in some areas but was in great shape! We then took the Dreamland Trail from Dreamland to Dollar Bay - all good. We then took trail 3 back to Mohawk, it was a little choppy from Lake Linden to Calumet but good after Calumet back to Mohawk. We met the groomer at Copoer City. We also stopped at Maple Leaf off of trail 122.”
Thanks for sharing Don!
We have had nunerous messages about the High Rock Bay spur trail (trail 136) asking why it has not been groomed and when it will get groomed….We can only reply that according to the Keweenaw Snowmobile Club “There is not enough snow yet to groom Trails 151 (into Eagle River)and 136 to High Rock Bay”
Please download the Groomer Tracker and subscribe to the Keweenaw Snowmobile Club trail system and you will have real time grooming information about High Rock Bay trail and all other trails!
⚠️ the snowy days have been wonderful, however, visibility has been extremely difficult at times. We are lifting the rider in prayer, that was involved in a single sled accident today on trail 3, around Twin Lakes. PLEASE ride with extreme caution at all times and especially with limited visibility of falling snow and snow dust. #keweenaw #snowphotos ... See MoreSee Less

CADILLAC AREA UPDATE via Coyote Crossing Resort >> Pete’s Trail Report from Thursday night, 1/23 … New Snow Last 24 Hrs: 6”
Base: 1-4”
Conditions: Good to Very Good
Lake effect snows keep happening around here — Yay!! Groomers are getting back out in a semi-regular schedule. There are still a few areas with minimal base, so we will need more snow to smooth those out.
Overall trail coverage is good with only minimal “snirt”. We are excited to have adequate riding in our region again! Please come up and support the local businesses in the Cadillac area.
Trail reports from riders today were “good to great” from Irons to Coyote, to Thompsonville to Benzonia.
