MUNISING AREA UPDATE via TNT Trenary Northern Trails >> Getting prepped for the weekend! Grooming, maintenance, and training are on the schedule. Snow is grooming out well, but temps are not letting it hold up. Colder temps this weekend will help, but warmer temps next week will make it challenging to keep the trail smooth late into the day. Roadside banks are getting tall which makes the trail narrow when paralleling the road. Keep that in mind when meeting the groomer in tight areas. Ride right and ride safe! #munising #snowphotos ... SAULT STE. MARIE AREA UPDATE via Sault Ste. Marie Snowmobile Association >> 2/4/26
Good morning everyone! Holding steady at 28” of snow in the Soo currently.
The Pisten Bully thay does the Raco and Bay Mills areas has the day off today feo some maintenance.
We do still have one machine down, and our schedule has been adjusted to make sure we can still cover all areas.
Here’s what I know-
❄️ Trail 8- Soo to Raco- excellent
❄️ City Trails - part of 49, 449, 497, and the I500 trail- good, seeing extra traffic for race week.
❄️ Trail 49- Soo to Kinross- good. All water holes are non existent 🙌🏼. May have some drifts in open areas.
❄️ Trail 49 south of M80 and the 494 loop- excellent
❄️ Trail 472 to 480 to the Raco gate- good - Go slow by the new bridge on 480 as there is still some exposed stone there that will be snow covered in time.
❄️ Trail 480 from the Spile Dam turnaround to the Raco Powerline ( trail 8 ) - good
❄️ Raco Powerline- good
❄️ Trail 889 The Mission Hill Loop- excellent
Remember, we are on Groomer Tracker!

ONTONAGON AREA UPDATE via Scott's Superior Inn and Cabins >> ❄️ Porcupine Mountains / Ontonagon Snow Report ❄️
Winter is absolutely delivering right now. We’re over 160” for the season total so far.
We’ve measured 24 inches of fresh snow in just the last week and a half right on our deck, and conditions across the Porcupine Mountains and Ontonagon area are shaping up to be the best snowmobiling and skiing we’ve seen in many years.
Snowmobile trails are well-covered with a solid base, riding smooth and fast thanks to consistent cold temps. Off-trail snow is deep, fluffy, and exactly what you hope for up here. For skiers — both downhill and Nordic — coverage is excellent, with beautiful natural snow and classic Lake Superior powder conditions.
📸 This photo shows exactly what’s fallen recently — and there’s even more in the woods.
If you’ve been waiting for a reason to make the trip north, this is it.
And if you’re looking for a warm, comfortable place to stay after a full day on the trails or slopes, Scott’s Superior Inn & Cabins is right here in Ontonagon — rider- and skier-friendly, close to the trails, and the perfect home base for conditions like this.
These are the kind of winters people remember. Don’t miss it. #ontonagon #westernup #snowphotos❄️ Porcupine Mountains / Ontonagon Snow Report ❄️

LAKE GOGEBIC AREA UPDATE via Gogebic Area Grooming >> Bergland Area Groomer's update for 2-3-26.
Snow was laying down perfectly tonight and the trail's are in excellent shape!! 102 is the best it's been so far this season. Early bird's get out there and enjoy!
8w still has some chop to it but overall turned out decent.
Generally speaking February is prime time for trail riding here in the yoop. Lesser traffic, temp's have been perfect and we've been basically getting light snow daily.
Trail's covered tonight, 102, 13s, 1n and 8w.
We have a full crew lined up for tonight and our entire system should be covered. Gogebic Area Grooming ❄️❄️❄️

Such a busy week it's been. From keeping up with trail's and making sure both machine's are on the trail! We've had our hands full.
Temp's on Saturday got into the upper 20's and heavy traffic really took a toll throughout our system. We've been able to get everything back in shape, but some will take a couple passes to get back to Great Again!!
Trail's covered tonight 102, 13n, 8e and 8w.
Will we make it to March 31st this season? It looks promising..

HARBOR SPRINGS AREA UPDATE via Harbor Springs Snowmobile Club >> Happy February! ☃️
Overall, our trails are in great shape! The only rough section is where they are logging on 71/Chadderdon Rd. We had a groomer out on the grade last night from Pellston to Alanson & two out tonight, one on the grade from Pellston to Mackinaw & the other on the west side of our trail system. We plan to have at least one groomer out every day this week & through the weekend.
🪵 Logging Operation – Trail 71 🪵
There is still an active logging operation on Trail 71 at Chadderdon Road. Although numerous signs are posted, we are still seeing riders not slowing down.
Please use extreme caution in this area:
- Skidders and log trucks are entering and traveling on the trail
- SLOW DOWN
- If you encounter logging equipment coming toward you, get off the trail or turn around until you can safely move aside
- Do not try to go around them — they are much larger than you, cannot stop quickly, and have the right of way
Your safety (and theirs) depends on it.

FREDERIC - GAYLORD AREA UPDATE via Sledheads of Frederic , Michigan Snowmobiling >> Another perfect day for riding in northern michigan. Temp has made it to 25 and sled traffic has been steady. The Swamp has been busy all day and its saturday and that makes me think about Frederic Inn prime rib. Went down to Houghton Lake last night for the second friday night at Tip Up Town. I havent been down there in 30 years or probably more. Once a year the State Police come thru Frederic on the train to catch riders doing rail road trespass which can be as simple as being to close to the tracks so the moral of the story is STAY AWAY FROM THE TRACKS. Usually the train has a MSP sign on it but it did not today but I did see a sheriff car following along on old 27. They have been thru twice this afternoon and it was just 2 engines which never happens any other time. Not to much else to say. Thanks for checking in. Pete #gaylord #snowphotos ... See MoreSee Less

ONTONAGON AREA UPDATE via Hamilton's North Coast Adventures >> Riding across the Ontonagon River bridge on trail 12 is a sight to behold! You soar 80 feet above the river on a dedicated section for motorized vehicles to use, how awesome is that?! It's one of the tightest groomer sections we have that provides very little margin for error. It's also a great view of Lake Superior, the Trapp hills to the south, and really lets you know how pro-snowmobile Ontonagon is. It's a tremendous destination full of amazing eateries like Up north cafe (best pancakes on planet earth), Syl's Restaurant, GiGi's Coffee and Sandwiches, Connie's Coffee and Subs, and of course the famous Roxey's Bar and Grill! What's your favorite stop for food in Ontonagon? #ontonagon #westernup #snowphotos ... See MoreSee Less

LAKE GOGEBIC AREA UPDATE via Gogebic Area Grooming >> Bergland Area Groomer's report for 1-30-26.
Temp's remain cold with light snow seems like daily. Our operator that went up 102 last night had reported very poor visibility but once you get up in the hills, that's pretty much been a common theme this season.
Trail's covered last night/this morning. 102, 8w, 8e and 13s. Trail's are in good to great shape! Get out and Enjoy...
